Two English red transferware platters: the first W.T. Copeland, c. 1847-1867, oval platter with medieval ruins, acorn motif border, impressed "Copeland B" mark underside, 18 7/8" l. x 15" w.; and a Thomas Mayer oval platter, c. 1826-1835, scalloped rim, depicting Classical scene with water and temples, maker's mark verso, crazing, discoloration and wear around edge, 15 1/2" l. x 13" w.
