Michiel Theobald Gloeckner (German-American, 1915-1989) "It's Summer Again," 1975, watercolor on paper, title, date and monogram in lower margin, grid of irregular polychrome rectilinear forms, framed and matted behind glass, minor foxing or staining, not examined out of frame, ss: 10 1/2" h. x 13" w.[Gloeckner was born in Dresden, Germany but moved to NY after WWII. The artist had a home and studio in West Cornwall, CT. He studied painting under Otto Dix (German, 1891-1969) and was also influenced by Paul Klee (Swiss-German, 1879-1940). Michiel Gloeckner exhibited works in Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Geneva, Paris, Manhattan, Philadelphia, and Hartford.]
