18th C. Abraham Edwards (Ashby, MA) 30-hour wooden gear tall case clock, faux graining over possibly pine or poplar, original dial plate inscribed "A. Edwards, Ashby" and decorated with mauve roses at crest and spandrels, Roman numerals, time and strike, original wooden works with possibly replaced seatboard, movement in excellent condition with minimal wear, original hood but fretwork and chimneys probably replaced, missing central finial, replacement pendulum, comes with two tin can weights, two paper labels affixed interior door one citing maker's life and death dates the other the business card of clock repairman in Melrose, MA, expected surface wear including craquelure, minor splitting at molding, and scattered finish loss, approximately 83" h. x 18 3/4" w. x 10 1/2" d.
