18th C. fall front desk with four graduated drawers, New England, possibly Massachusetts, mahogany with poplar and pine secondary, well has central prospect drawer flanked by four pigeon holes over two drawers on each side; prospect door reveals a pigeon hole and single drawer over a shallow secret well; case sides are dovetailed to the top and blind dovetailed to the bottom, drawer rails are open dovetailed to the case sides; drawers are dovetailed together; bracket feet; 43" h. x 36" w. x 19 1/2" d. (closed, 33" d. open); replaced brasses, relocated hinges, losses and repairs to drawer fronts and bracket feet, now on castors, pendant drop is detached from case front but accompanies the piece.
