Continental School diptych in the manner of Frans Hals (Dutch, c. 1588-1666) possibly depicting allegorical study of or wealth and poverty, two flanking portraits include corpulent courtier on left side and severely dressed monk on right side, possible artist signature UR of left man's portrait, also pencil inscribed "A. Grusan" in multiple places along stretchers verso, with original 19th C. "Binant…Paris" preparer's stamp center verso, overall craquelure, light puckering to canvas corner UR, not examined out of 20th C. gilt frame, ss: 11" h. x 18" w., each portrait measures ss: 11" h. x 8 1/2" w.
