Description:

ASIAN: Two carved ivory/bone pieces: Japanese bone brush pot, probably Meji period (1868 to 1912), with gold lacquered carved hawk and silver lacquer inlay, some wear on wooden base, 6 1/8" h.; along with a Chinese carved tusk, cylindrical with figures in a garden against a reticulated ground, crack, with detached carved and fitted wooden base, height of ivory only: 6 3/4" h., both pieces with wear consistent with age and use.
