A large book titled "Register/American Manufacturers/Paris Exposition/ 1878", cover has gilt lettering an eagle holding flag in its talons, contents of book are several hundred pages with advertising on one side and individual signed registry of name and address of those attending the exposition on the back side of each page, 24" h. x 24" w. x 10" thick, and weighs in excess of 75 lbs., registry was also used at other early 20th C. events.
