ASIAN: Hiroshige (Japanese 1797-1858), two color woodblock prints: "Hamamatsu, fuyugare no zu" from the series "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido", showing group of farm laborers around camp fire, rice paddies in distance, tree and large plume of smoke center, characters and seals UL and UR, oban, some staining and foxing, discoloration around edges, central crease, partially torn LR corner, badly damaged frame corner UR, ss: 9 1/4" h. x 14 1/8" w.; along with a second print depicting two male servants carrying female noblewoman in canopied palanquin, gardens and buildings in background, cartouches with seals and characters LL and UR, late impression, oban, surface scratches to frame, ss: 13 3/4" h. x 9 1/2" w., both framed behind glass, neither examined out of frames.
