ASIAN: twenty-eight illustrated book pages printed via woodblocks (ehon) mounted in seven frames by probably 19th C. unknown Japanese artist, excised from an untranslated volume, including calligraphy, book covers, and partially annotated illustrations of everyday life including depictions of courtiers walking on beach, aristocrats watering irises, smoking pipes, and walking in springtime garden, and women tending children, calligraphic page with Peck Library stamp LL, wrinkling and wavering to paper, toning, tiny tears to margins, creases and wrinkles, all matted and framed behind glass, none examined out of frames, five long panels measure approximately ss: 7 1/4" h. x 21" w., two small pieces measure ss: 8 1/8" h. x 11 1/4" w.
