ASIAN: Two polychrome woodblock prints depicting village scenes, details include: first, Utagawa Hiroshige I (Japanese, 1797–1858), "Dry-goods Stores in Ôdenma-chô (Ôdenmachô gofukuten)" from the series "Famous Places in Edo (Edo meisho)", c. 1858, Edo period, published by Yamadaya Shojiro, black and grey chop mark lower right, depicts people walking through a shopping center, narrow margins on left and right sides, mislabeled on portfolio as attributed to "Yoshitaki, Utagama", wear consistent with age and decorative use, 9 3/8" h. x 13 1/2" w.; second, After Ando Hiroshige, "Shinagawa, First Station" from series "Fifty-three stations of Tokaido", missing chop mark, trimmed without margins, loss throughout, even-toning, misattributed as "Nishikawa Sukenobu" on label; unframed in portfolios.
