ASIAN: Two prints, by Utagawa Kunisada and Hokusai, both framed: Utagawa Kunisada (Japanese, 1786- 1864) "Lady Closing Door in a Thunderstorm", woodblock color print, depicts a lady rushed inside by rain, struggling to close the door against the storm, thrown-off geta in foreground with lightning bolt piecing the upper right corner, signed on post on right upper edge, and in LR corner, toning, numerous small holes throughout, not examined out of frame, s.s: 14" h. x 9 1/2" w.; and a framed page from a published Hokusai Sketchbook, Japan, first half 19th C., diptych of a brutish armored man using his spear to nudge a woman walking in front of him, text at center bottom and UR, framed and matted behind glass, partial label verso, some toning and wear to bottom, binding hole at center, not examined out of frame, s.s: 7 1/2" h. x 9 3/4" w.
