Auguste Brouet (French, 1892-1941), "La Mere de Whistler", c. 1920, etching, depicts a younger middle-aged woman with brown flowing hair seated pensively in flowing robes, Geoffroy 261, ii/II after additional work on the shawl, hair and shadows around eyes and hands, ed: 130, signed with pencil lower right, inscribed with pencil, "34/130" lower left, printed by the artist with black ink on cream laid paper with margins, as issued, unframed, hinged to mat under clear cover, very light wear consistent with age including light even toning, paper size: 15" h. x 13 3/4" w.
