BLACK AMERICANA: Four wood boxes with advertising: two "Mason''s Blacking" wood boxes, c. late 19th C., both depict black man polishing boots, both have paper labels inside lid and front of box: 8" h. x 11 1/4" w. x 4 3/4" d., front label is somewhat torn; 8" h. x 10 1/2" w. x 2 3/4" d.; and two "Old Virginia Cheroots" boxes, pictured bearded black man, c. late 19th C.: 5" h. x 10" w. x 3 1/4" d. four for ten cents; 7 1/2" h. x 12 1/2" w. x 4 3/4" d., three for five cents, all boxes show wear and discoloration.
