Cornelius Buckley Erwin was an successful entrepreneur, hardware manufacturer, bank executive, and philanthropist in New Britain, CT during his lifetime. Successful purchaser will receive copy of artist's biography, biographical and genealogical research materials collected by former owner of portrait, as well as information related to painting, artist, and sitter presented in Connecticut Historical Society Bulletin issued October 1975 and New Britain Industrial Museum Quarterly, Autumn 2001.
