CHILDREN'S BOOKS, two pieces: c. 1922 Bookie-Blox Co. (New Rochelle, NY) "Betty's Alfabet" collection of seven brightly colored wooden paneled books, illustrations by Blanche Fisher Laite, each page depicting boy or girl whose first name corresponds to letters of alphabet, featuring black girl "Xenobia" and Asian boy "Yen Lo", all contained in original but extensively repaired cardboard box, expected surface wear including checking and paint loss, each book measures approximately 5 3/8" h. x 4 3/8" w. x 1" d.; along with 50th anniversary commemorative set of First Twelve Little Golden Books (1942-1992), missing one volume, "The Alphabet from A to Z" but eleven other volumes include such titles as: "The Animals of Farmer Jones"; "Mother Goose"; and "Prayers for Children", all in unused to excellent condition, some wear to collector's set box including tear to spine.
