Civil War era striped silk ballgown and jacket, c. 1860's, museum provenance, three pieces, jacket, bodice and skirt, details include: brown and tan striped silk jacket with high neckline and long sleeves with button down front, "V" shaped fringe decoration on breast, ruffle on sleeve cuffs, straight natural waistline, boned in back, heavy damage and loose parts to left sleeve, 16" from armpit to armpit, 16" across waist; bodice with low and wide neckline with short sleeves, boned and laced in back, front center point on waist, black lace on neckline and sleeves, loose trim, 16" from armpit to armpit, 10" across waist; and a striped silk skirt with train, right side pocket, corded hem, pleats in back, front left opening, 25" diam. waist, 39" from waist to front hem, 50" from waist to end of train, all pieces with wear consistent with age and use including toning, damages and loss, sold as is.
