CLOCK: Banjo clock, Boston, c.1820, dial signed "A. Willard Jr, Boston," numbered "No. 1719," unsigned movement with single bridge escapement, straight click pawl, diagonal through bolt holes, "7" painted on back of dial which appears original with craquelure and chips, pendulum and weight appear original, mahogany case and backboard, cross banded frames for throat and box, finial plinth likely original, backboard and throat frame stamped "VII," throat glass in red and gold appears original "PATENT" at bottom of glass, box glass repainted but glass may be original, key and pulley present, heavy wear consistent with age and use including dial cannon hole enlarged, movement mounting holes plugged and moved slightly, throat glass broken but complete, old veneer repairs to frames, arms missing, case throat sides one loose one unattached, several loose glue blocks, box door frame disassembled at all joints, box side split repaired, finial missing, sold as is, 30" h. x 10" w. x 4" d.
