Morgan (American, 1916-2013), two turned walnut pieces: bowl, one flake at neck, 3 3/4" h., and covered round box, flattened disc knob at lid, scratches underside base, 5 5/8" h., both initialed "E.S.M" and inscribed "Walnut" underside bases; along with black glazed vase with swirl design, tiny base, and dramatically flared rim, signed "Armour" underside base, expected wear throughout. [Edmund S. Morgan, in addition to pursuing wood-working as a hobby, was a celebrated Pulitzer Prize winning early American history professor at Yale University between 1955 and 1986.]
