Hepplewhite pembroke table with later additions/repairs, shaped serpentine leafs each with dual folding supports, tapered square column leg, hidden frieze drawer, heavy wear to top, repairs, expected scratches, etc., 28 1/2" h. x 19 1/4" w. x 31" d.; (38" w. when extended). Provenance: table documented as being owned by the Vethacke(n) family; Fredrick Albrecht Vethaken (Prussian, 1756 - 1810) and most of his household arrived in Boston in 1797 from the Dutch Colony of Demerara, Guyana, South America, as evidenced by their passports. The family later moved from Boston to New Jersey in 1798 and New York City in 1800.]
