Federal wall mirror, projecting gilt cornice with drop ball pendants, upper reverse painted tablet depicting domestic tableau as seen behind scarlet curtains, woman dressed in Empire style gown reading in reclining chair interrupted by young girl in mustard colored frock, some darkening and speckling of lower glass mirror, applied gilded braid along edges, expected surface wear including checking and gilt loss, moderate to heavy paint loss to bottom margin of upper tablet, glass measures 16 1/2" h. x 10 1/4" w., entire mirror measures 28 3/8" h. x 15 3/4" w.
