Early 19th C. sampler, colored thread on linen, eight alpha-numeric rows featuring cross stitch and other techniques, signed and dated "Jane Bess, Aged 12 Years, 1834" along bottom, depicting deer in landscape, flowering urns and trees, tulips, peacocks, and two-chimney brick mansion at center, overall meandering floral border, some thread loss and pulls especially to bottom row, fading of light-colored thread, chipped UL corner glass, repaired frame, framed behind glass, not examined out of frame, ss: 23" h. x 16 3/4" w.
