Description:

Early 20th C. Connecticut miniature chest, Margolis bench made, Empire form, mahogany and mahogany veneer, projecting top drawer above two long drawers flanked by curved pilasters ending in scrolled front feet, paper label applied verso inscribed, "This miniature mahogany bureau was made in 1914 for my sister Florence by Charles Margolis, father of Nathan, attested to and labeled by Harold Margolis, 11-29-1966", minor veneer and surface loss, some checking, 13" h. x 13 3/8" w. x 8 1/2" d. at deepest.
