Early (late medieval) French carved chest and three wooden fragments: carved oak coffer with sliding top lid, intricate floral and geometric designs, twisted metal loop, wood loss, checking and splitting, box measures 6 1/4" h. x 9 3/4" w. x 18 1/4" l.; two fragments from central panel of carved chest, stylized circular medallion with eight segments, loss and worm damage, pieces reassembled measure 11 3/4" h. x 9 7/8" w.; along with ornately pierced fragment of furniture trim, 9" l.
