Early oval pastel on paper in 19th C. frame depicting young woman with powdered curls wearing translucent lace veil and black ribbon necklace, no visible signature, one of wooden stretchers pencil inscribed "Meevay (?)" verso, frame rubbing along UR curve and support partly separating from frame, paper wrinkling, innermost frame comprised of sea green velvet with scattered insect damage, gilt textured inner frame with some flaking and loss, carved wooden outer frame, framed behind glass, examined out of frame, approximately ss: 6 7/8" h.
