+Eliphalet Chapin School dropleaf dining table, Connecticut, circa 1775-1790, cherry, pine and oak secondary, leaves with rounded corners, over cabriole legs and ball claw feet, wear consistent with age including refinished, leaf hinges replaced and reset, one leaf rejoined with strip added, one center board hinge edge replaced, glue blocks replaced, one leg broken and repaired with double spline, upper cross apron support replaced, expected wear and age-related repairs, 28 1/2" h. x 53 1/2" w. x 18" d. (closed) 52" d. when leaves are open.
