English stoneware teapot with encaustic decoration, c. 1800, probably Samuel Hollins Pottery, Staffordshire, navette form, greenish-grey matte color with rust red accents, flame form finial, ribbed sides, removable tray and teapot cover, no maker's marks viewed, Sotheby's, New York sticker on base of tray, "Godden Reference Collection" paper label applied to interior of cover, wear consistent with age and decorative use, small chip to inner rim of cover, roughness/ flea bites to spout, age hairline to inner curve of tray, etc., teapot: 5 3/4" h. x 8" w. x 4" d., tray: 6 1/4" l.
