EPHEMERA: Bermuda Gazette and Royal Gazette, 1836 and 1941, one framed and one a bound folio, original Bermuda newspapers representing more than a century of British Atlantic colonial history, details include: framed issue of The Royal Gazette (Hamilton, Bermuda), March 1836, printed in four columns on rag paper, lightly toned, early issues of this famous Bermuda newspaper are rare, framed sheet approx. 22" × 15"; accompanied by a massive bound folio of The Royal Gazette and Colonist Daily (March–April 1941), containing local wartime news, advertisements, comic strips (Nancy, Broncho Bill, Bringing Up Father), and several full-text Churchill speeches, includes "Special Edition" broadsheet dated April 19, 1941, bound volume worn, with water damage to later issues and expected pulp degradation, but overall in acceptable condition, binding approx. 17½" h. × 11¼" w., both pieces with wear consistent with age and use and sold as is.
