New England land deeds and Midwestern resettlement: land deed on parchment dated 22 June 1706 transferring ownership of land from Joseph Baker to Roger Jackson in "Edgmon", [Edgemont], Chester County, PA for £95, folds up into tripart packet, shaped bottom with two partial red wax seals, stains and two holes, approximately as: 11 1/2" h. x 19" w.; land deed on paper dated 2 July 1716 transferring ownership of land from Benjamin Harrison to son Isaac (on event of father's relocation) in Middlesex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, edges laid down on graph paper and adhered with scotch tape, isolated stains and toning, loss LR corner, as: 12 1/8" h. x 14 7/8" w.; and three loose printed pages transcribing letters exchanged between Honorable H.L. Ellsworth and others outlining the advantages of cultivation in the Wabash River valley (modern day Indiana and Illinois), dated between November 1836-January 1837, folds, some loss to top and right margins, as: 12 3/4" h. x 7 3/4" w.
