EPHEMERA: Twenty-five pieces of Civil War era currency and related ephemera, Civil War-era paper currency including: ten US Fractional currency notes (two 50-cent; one 10-cent; five 5-cent; and two 3-cent), also includes eleven mid-20th century European bank notes, all demonetized; two Washington three-cent stamps; medal labeled "Orphelinat des armies" with depiction of mother and child; along with piece of brown cotton velveteen with painted portrait of an unknown man wearing powered wig and military-style jacket, circa 1970s, unsigned, with nail holes surrounding edge; all with wear consistent with age and use.
