George III mahogany card table, English, c. 1770, rectangular fold-over top resting on plain frieze with molded lower edge, square tapering legs, three inch band of fluting on front and sides of front legs and sides of rear legs at top, squared club feet, metal plaque verso inscribed "Univeral Studios 40168-64", wear consistent with age and use including some loss at corner at fluting, extensive cracking to veneer at frieze, stains and scratches to top exterior and interior, etc., 29 1/4" h. x 35 3/4" w. x 17 1/2" d. [PROVENANCE: From the Connecticut home of the philanthropist Helen Gray and her late husband Harry J. Gray.]
