Group of seven 18th and 19th C. indentures and deeds from Duchess County, NY: 1799 indenture for rent in the amount of twenty pounds of "lawful money" made out to and signed by Caleb, Mary and Henry Fowler, split in two pieces, 17 1/2" h. x 18" w.; 1798 indenture for the payment of four-hundred pounds made out to and signed by James Germond, and an "X" mark for his wife Mary Germond, 16" h. x 18 1/2" w.; 1835 land deeds signed by James Marshall, 16" h. x 20" w.; 1794 indenture made out to and signed by John C. Shaw, NYC merchant and John Ray, 15" h. x 19" w.; 1814 indenture made out to and signed by John and Mary Sheak asking for a payment of one hundred and thirty-one dollars and thirty-one cents, 16 3/4" h. x 19" w.; 1814 indenture for payment of one thousand six hundred five dollars and fifty-cents made out to and signed by Dr. Cyrus Berry, 16 1/2" h. x 20" w.; along with an 1891 Executor's Deed for land signed by Stephen and Eugene Ham, 13 1/4" h. x 8" w., all pieces with expected wear including heaving creasing, rips and tears, foxing and staining.
