House of Worth yellow brocade with bead fringe evening dress, c. 1890's, museum provenance, two pieces, bodice and skirt, details include: bodice trimmed with bead passementerie with bead fringe, overall floral design, Worth label sewn to bodice waist, bodice heavily boned and center back bones are slightly bent outward, rounded front point and back tails/ tabs which contain round weights, lace-up center back, short sleeves with large slashed puff and yellow georgette peeking out, yellow georgette forms a drape across neckline and shoulders; skirt with train has beading around hem and down edges of faux split skirt, cartridge pleating in center back, museum label sewn to lining, wear consistent with age and use, spot of staining to front of bodice, splits to silk and minor loss of beading observed, sold as is, made for a larger woman, 18" from armpit to armpit.
