Ladderback armchair, American, Connecticut, 18th C., five shaped horizontal slats, maple and probably ash, typical Connecticut shoreline finials and arms with underarm stretchers, old refinish with traces of old or original black, shaped armrests with additional support bar below, old rush seat with damages, ring turned front supports, seven trapezoidal stretcher bars, posts worn but not extended, wear consistent with age and use including old chips and repairs, etc., sold as is, 47" h. x 22 1/2" w. x 16 1/2" d.
