Late 18th C. American Windsor brace back chair with continuous arm stamped "W. MAC BRIDE, N. YORK" under seat, nine spindle backrest, saddle seat, turned splayed legs and medial stretcher, traces of red paint, butterfly repairs probably executed by Henry Hammond Taylor (Connecticut, 1878-1933), typical stress cracks on bow, broken leg, all four feet ended out, 35 1/4" h. x 22" w. x 24" d., seat height 16 1/4" h.
