Chippendale form two-piece bookcase desk, possible marriage, mahogany primary wood, pine secondary wood, upper case comprised of two-door bookcase, with recessed tombstone panels, containing two shelves, both with glass liners, one shelf missing, over long, horizontal document drawer, lower case comprised of slant lid desk with beautiful flame mahogany pattern on left hand side, four drawers of graduating size, interior of desk contains seven small drawers and eight pigeon hole cubbies, brass batwing bails and escutcheons, some replaced, repaired hinges to cabinet doors, ogee bracket feet, comes with key, some splitting and checking especially to sides, insect damage, base possibly altered, surface roughness, early with alterations, assembled secretary approximately 82" h. x 38 1/2" w. x 22 3/4" d.
