Swiss Sublime Harmonie Piccolo 6-air music box by Mermod Frères, No. 10856, 13" brass cylinder with three dampers in surprisingly good condition, original tone card depicting cavorting cherubs in beautiful condition, listing following airs: "Dolly the Dairy Maid"; "Kunstler Leben"; "Sweet by and by"; "Il Trovatore"; "The Charleston Blues"; and "Lerschen Schwingen", "M/F/1840" Marque de Fabrique located LL corner of tone card, box is fitted with Jacot''s Safety Check Pat''d Sept. 22, 1885, Change/Repeat and Stop/Play levers functional, base of cylinder stamped with serial number corresponding to tone card, all combs with intact teeth, contained in handsome burl walnut veneer case with banding and carved ivory key escutcheon at front, minor checking, split to left side of top lid, minor knot roughness on right side, heavy surface wear to feet, 7 1/4" h. x 26" w. x 10 3/4" d.
