Continental canvas work embroidery fragment depicting genre scenes, multicolored wool yarn on cotton or linen support, cream colored ground with four pictorial medallions running top to bottom including woman with hound, man wearing plumed headdress, seated woman with peacock, and hunter wielding bow, each medallion encircled by foliate decorations and faux tapestry tassels, loose and unraveled ends, 91" h. x 15" w. [Provenance: consignor believes tapestry was woven in Hungary.]
