+Louis Auguste Mathieu Legrand (French, 1864 - 1951), "Le Deshabillage (Undressing)", 1893, etching and aquatint in black ink on japon paper, depicts a ballerina standing in profile with foot on chair, signed in plate lower left, titled in plate lower right, hand-signed by the artist lower right in graphite, bears Gustave Pellet's collector stamp (L. 1193) in red lower right, published by Gustave Pellet, from "Les Petits du Ballet", one of Legrand's major series, consisting of thirteen etchings and aquatints (twelve plates and an etched cover), the suite depicts intimate scenes in the evolution of young ballet dancers, Cat. Ref: R. 56, nicely framed and matted behind glass, not examined out of frame, wear consistent with age including some waving and creasing of paper, roughness of paper at lower left corner, etc., ss: 17" h. x 10 3/4" w.
