Lowboy, American, 18th C., cherry and chestnut, peg construction, pad feet and cabriole legs, original brasses with Chinese influence, two pendants hang below the drawers on either side of the center, fan motif is carved on the center, drawer top has thumbnail groove, pierced brass handles; overall, it is typical of New London County furniture, the piece is useful to exemplify how pieces are often changed over time to suit both current tastes and functional needs, wear consistent with age, expected surface wear, past alterations and repairs, 36" h. x 39 1/2" w. x 22" d.
