Michiel Gloeckner (1915 - 1989), two abstract mixed medias on paper, the first monogramed LR, titled and dated on paper liner verso "Village #3" - 1963, floating mount, sheet size 4 3/4" X 6 1/2"; the other monogramed LR, titled and dated on back panel "Village #2" - 1965, matted and framed under glass, ss: 3 1/8" X 5 1/8". [Born Dresden, Germany; moved to NY after WWII. Also had a home and studio in West Cornwall, CT. He studied painting under Otto Dix and was also influenced by Paul Klee. Michiel Gloeckner exhibited in Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Geneva, Paris, Manhattan, Philadelphia and Hartford.]
