Michiel Theobald Gloeckner (German-American, 1915-1989), watercolor on paper depicting "Wind in the Willows", the artist's home in Cornwall, CT, monogrammed LR, some wavering to paper, loss to gilt frame, matted and framed under glass, not examined out of frame, ss: 10 3/4" h. x 14 1/4" w. [Gloeckner was born in Dresden, Germany but moved to NY after WWII. The artist had a home and studio in West Cornwall, CT. He studied painting under Otto Dix (German, 1891-1969) and was also influenced by Paul Klee (Swiss-German, 1879-1940). Michiel Gloeckner exhibited works in Dresden, Munich, Berlin, Geneva, Paris, Manhattan, Philadelphia, and Hartford.]
