English etchings, 50+: two by George Cruikshank (British, 1792-1878) depicting scenes from the life of executed criminal Jack Sheppard (British, 1702-1724); and most depicting satirical scenes and characters from three major works, "The Struggles and Adventures of Christopher Tadpole at Home and Abroad" by Albert Smith (British, 1816-1860); "The Fortunes of Hector O'Halloran, and his man Marc Antony O'Toole" by William Hamilton Maxwell (Scots-Irish, 1792-1850); and "Jack Bragg" by Theodore E. Hook (British, 1788-1841), all with illustrations by John Leech (British, 1817-1864), most matted, some loose. [Deaccessioned from a Connecticut Museum]
