Muirhead Bone (British, 1876 - 1953) "Conrad Listening to Music", drypoint etching, depicts Joseph Conrad (1857-1924), the great Polish-born British novelist, who wrote Heart of Darkness (1899), Lord Jim (1900), and The Secret Agent (1907) sitting in a chair listening to music, pencil signed lower right corner, framed and matted behind glass, inscriptions and labels verso including "1st state signed artists proof", wear consistent with age including scattered small foxing, not examined out of frame, ss: 11" h. x 7 3/4" w.
