One drawer pine blanket chest, early 19th century, in vibrant original sponge decorated mustard, brown, green and red paint, six board nailed construction, bootjack ends with all original glue blocks behind shaped straight bracket feet, original lock, hasp, drawer lock, pulls and cast-iron hinges, well preserved, appears all original (with possible exception of hinges), with wonderful painted surfaces, wear consistent with age including stress cracks on lid where hinges are reset or replaced, 27 ½" h. x 37 3/8" w. x 16 ¾" d.
