Pair of 19th C. Continental ormolu candlesticks converted to lamps, triangular base draped with swags, continuing to round pillar with hexagonal mid-band hung with swags, pillar with acanthus and waterleaf bands, electrified section with faux white pillar candle beneath an "S" shape double arm with sockets, pair of fitted black shades, wear consistent with age and use, one shade damaged, unknown working condition, 24 1/2" h. to finial; 15 1/2" to top of ormolu candlestick. [PROVENANCE: From the Connecticut home of the philanthropist Helen Gray and her late husband Harry J. Gray.]
