Paul Bransom (American, 1885-1979), "Death of the Wildbeast", c. 1985, pastel, crayon, watercolor and acrylic on illustration board, depicting female lion grabbing onto the neck of an antelope in the middle of dense jungle, signed lower right and partially titled lower left, inscribed verso with title, artist name along with an adhered paper label discussing the subject matter, unframed, expected wear including glue residue throughout the margins, discoloration to board, overall 21 1/2" h. x 29 1/2" w.[Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the New Britain Museum of American Art.
