Raoul Dufy (French, 1877-1953), "Scene of Marseille", etching, inscribed in pencil lower left, "eau forte originale / Marseille" signed lower right "Raoul Dufy", also monogrammed in plate "RD" at lower left, a 1965 appraisal/ object list by John Wyss of Raymond & Raymond of Hartford reads in part "Scene of Marseille. Original etching. Limited edition of 390 copies. From a series of 16 prints used as illustrations for Eugene Monfort. La belle enfant sa l' Amour a quarante ans. Published by Ambrose Vollard, Paris, 1930. Reference: Hafer (Boston) No. 93", hand-written applied label repeats this on reverse of etching, framed and matted behind glass, wear consistent with frame including light even toning, a few faint spots of foxing, and very minor mat burn, ss: 7 1/2" h. x 5 3/4" w.
