SAMPLERS, three early 19th C. examples featuring cross stitch and other techniques: first colored thread on linen, six alpha-numeric rows, signed "Louisa Ann Flint, by 11 Years" near middle, with religious meditation at bottom, with silhouette of house fully furnished with bed, chair, table, and stand located LR corner, some tears, "E" located in third row reworked, as: 8 1/2" h. x 10 5/8" w.; second colored thread on linen, nine alpha-numeric rows, signed "Orpha Barker" at bottom, floral, chain, and line patterns divide rows, ss: 10 3/4" h. x 7 3/8" w.; along with third colored thread on linen, thirteen alpha-numeric rows, signed "Eliza Pike" at bottom, several letters in bottom row reworked, ss: 16 1/4" h. x 7 1/8" w., all with isolated discoloration, all framed behind glass, none examined out of frame.
