Sarreguemines majolica character jugs, French, late 19th/ early 20th C., four pieces, including: double-head pitcher jar no. 2318, of typical form of expressive man with reflective/ double face. marked on base, inscription to edge of base reads: "Tu ris quand tu es plein. Quand tu es vide je te plains." ("You laugh when you are full. When you are empty I pity you."); full body "Judy" toby jug (of Punch and Judy; ref. Cunningham pg.73), stamped on base, 12 1/4" h.; "Admiral (aka Suspicious Eyes" of man in with high navy collar looking right, stamped on base, 6 1/8" h.; and "Russian Head/ Prince No. 3300", figural face jug, (ref: Cunningham p. 69), depicts young man with rose colored cap, 7" h., all pieces with wear consistent with age and decorative use and sold as is.
