SCULPTURE: After Jean de Bologne (French/Belgian/Italian, 1529-1608), "Mercury," 19th C. bronze signed on the figural base "F. Barbedienne Fondeur Paris France", after the 1580 sculpture at the Villa Medici, depicting Mercury with winged cap and feet, caduceus in left hand, right arm upraised, issuing forth from the mouth of Zephyr, raised on a square black stone stepped plinth inset with a dedication plaque, wear consistent with age including light scattered scratches, break and repair to upraised arm, missing wing on helmet, chip to finger on upraised hand, loss to back corner bottom rim of stone pedestal base, etc., sold as is, 29" h.; overall 35.5" h.
